Juice Heaters

Relying on the technical expertise & profound knowledge of our team, we are successful in carving a niche for ourselves as a trustworthy manufacturer and exporter of Juice Heaters. In order to manufacture quality range of heaters, we source high end quality steel from authentic vendors of the market. Due to their noiseless operations, our Juice Heaters are extensively find application in sugar plants for heating raw, sulphur & clear Juice from 300C up to about 900C.

Features

  • Interchangeability
  • Removal of heavy & light nox gasses
  • Quick cover opening

Application:

These are utilized for heating raw sulphur or clear juice from 300C up to 900C, as per the requirement and process parameters. These find core use in sugar plant application, and the screened juice acquired is heated to 65 C to 700 C in a tube-shaped juice heater. By using an air-floatation procedure, the juice is clarified and obtained clear juice is then conveyed to triple set evaporator. Juice heaters mostly use steam from the boilers in order to create a sound heating action, also possible that the preferably bled vapor from the evaporators.

Working Principal:

The basic calculation of the juice heater is to calculate the amount of heat transferred using the overall heat transfer co-efficient (OHTC), the log mean temperature difference (LMTD) and the heating surface area.

Q = h. A.Tlog

where

  • Q= heat transferred [kW]
  • h= OHTC [kW/m2K]
  • A= heat transfer area [m2]
  • Tlog= LMTD

The amount of heat transferred is calculated by

Q = m(h1 - h0)

where

  • Q= heat transferred [kW]
  • m= mass flow rate [kg/s]
  • h1= enthalpy of exiting juice [kJ/kg]
  • h0= enthalpy of entering juice [kJ/kg]

Using the overall heat transfer co-efficient (OHTC), heating surface area and log mean temperature difference (LMTD) amount the heat transferred can be calculated. It is essential to support juice velocity in the tubes in 1.5 m/s to 2 m/s; if the juice velocity is very low, OHTC is low and heater is susceptible to scaling of the tubes. There will be a high-pressure drop across the heater if the juice velocity in the tubes is very high. It results in a higher pumping loading on juice pumps.

Design Features:

Juice heaters have a steel-fabricated tubular shell structures, which consists of an assembly of tubes. Juice basically go around through the tubes and the vapour outside. Appropriate headers are there to force the juice to pass several times from bottom-to-top and top-to-bottom of the heater.

Various types of Juice Heaters:

  • Vertical Juice Heaters
  • Condensate Juice Heaters
  • Vapour Line Juice Heaters
  • Dynamic Juice Heaters

Aforementioned juice heaters are available in 60 m2 H.S. (heating surface) to 500 m2 H.S capacities. Also, the heaters can be designed as per the customer requirement regarding the capacity of process.

Some advantages of Ashoka juice heaters:

  • Multiple passage steam distribution & circulation
  • Balancing device for easy opening and quick cover opening
  • High pressure tested leak proof
  • Maximum efficiency
  • Interchangeability
  • Low maintenance
  • Positive condenset removal
  • Easy removal of heavy & light nox gasses along with adequate venting
